The Thursday Ways to Use it challenge, WT528 (4/23/15), was to make a card and decorate the inside as well as the outside - and to show both of them!
Here is the card I made for the challenge. It is for our Pastor and his wife, who will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary this weekend. I made this for our congregation to present to them at the church dinner.
I have had this 50th die in my stash for months and this was the perfect opportunity to put it to good use. I also remembered that I had this gorgeous Hawaiian floral photo designer paper that I picked up on a trip to Maui a couple of years ago. Our pastor's wife grew up in Hawaii and they have spent quality time there, so I knew they would recognize the plumeria blooms in the background design.
The DSP was really heavy weight and wanted to curl on the edges, so I opted to machine stitch it to the white layer so it wouldn't accidentally pop off the card front.
The rest of the card went together quickly with a brush of clear Wink of Stella on the die-cut for sparkle, and some tiny pink rhinestones added here and there for eye-candy.
Thanks for stopping by to look at the outside of my 50th Anniverary - Hawaiian Style.
Now take a lookie at the inside! WT528 50th Anniversary - Hawaiian Style, inside view by Boss at Splitcoaststampers

Ah, Susy, how absolutely beautiful! You've shown off this beautiful paper so well, and the white and sparkly die cut is perfect in the center. What a lovely remembrance for your pastor and his wife.

Such beautiful paper and just perfect for this couple. I love that 50th die with the pretty scroll. The inside has such a wonderful verse and sentiment, too. They are sure to love this special card made just for them.

This card could not be more beautiful or more perfect for your Pastor and his wife. The Hawaiian photo paper is gorgeous and is certain to provide them with many wonderful memories. The matting, stitching, and die cut are super. This is a FAV, for sure!

The most awesome thing about this craft is the joy of customizing it to specific people and events. Sometimes I just look back at a creation and wonder how I ever came up with it, and then, I thank God for His hand and direction in it You had just the perfect elements sitting waiting for this very special milestone. Love how vibrant and pretty it turned out, Susy
